ooh! you would have just missed the new post. sorry :(

i think the lotus roots would be pretty tasty in a salad, especially since these are quite crunchy. maybe with some bean sprouts and a mirin-sesame oil dressing? with grilled tofu! sprinkled with sesame seeds!

i am getting carried away.

ah but you see, there was no nap between 4 and 5.40am, and somehow i managed to not fall asleep during relaxation pose at yoga. the blink-and-you'll-miss-it shuteye occurred a couple of times while watching the baby watch "saturday kitchen" or whatever that afternoon cooking show medley on tv is. that's just not quite enough naps at all. :(

the lotus root came sliced... in a little plastic packet with some water inside. they were still quite crunchy and fresh tasting! i got them from the asian grocery place at marrickvlle metro. i know those red and white packaged korean ramen. those are the boy's favourites, and sometimes i nick a packet.

whoa! so really your day started at 4am, with a cat nap between 4 and 5:40. oh boy!

instant noodles are pretty special. I have never added such lovely vegies as you have here though. usually i crack an egg, stir, stir, sitr. and if i want to balance the msg, maybe some julienne carrots and frozen peas. I'll have to try this option next. Were the lotus canned or fresh? also, there is a yummy koren ramen pack, its red and has been recommended by those in the know.
