MACHINES THAT SEEM TO THINK
Shortly after seeing The Matrix, I found in a thrift shop, a children's book with explanations on how street lights "knew" when to come on at dusk, and how a toaster "knew" when your toast was to be spat out, and so on. The book's title was Machines That Seem To Think.

Which has nothing to do with this drawing, for internet.au, about virtual offices and the technology that enables you to sit around in your penguin print pyjamas, drinking sugary tea and buttery toast, while "working" from home.
