AND THEN LASER BEAMS
CAME OUT OF MY EYES

2002 One of the projects of last year's noise festival was a sort of girlpower comic anthology called "How comics can change the world". It was the only project where the age limit was not 25, and also one that I thought would kick my motivation in the ass and make me draw a comic. These days I average one (page) every three years.

Friends in high places at the Sequential Art Studies Institute (um, not) saw the comic, and thought a page of it - it ended up being 4! - would be appropriate as the poster for their conference, a side event at one of those conventions where pale people walk around dressed up as superheroes, and where you could come face to face with comic store guy from the Simpons.

I thought it would be appropriate to resurrect the font Dynamoe, and crawling out from the dying embers of grunge, it served me well.
