CORONARY ARTERY DISEASE
THE SINGAPORE PERSPECTIVE

The first version of this cover design was black, with thin cyan outline boxes holding segments of the heart diagram, in white. Except for the one orange box (which is now the red box), which was the point of focus. I thought it was pretty cool, because it looked like a science textbook from the 70s.

But what do I know; I didn't really come into contact with science textbooks until the 80s. And maybe this is why I was told to make it beige and brown instead. I was also told to run a leathery texture behind the whole thing, and to use a Simpsons typeface.

Doctors, eh? I figured they didn't really know what they were talking about, except maybe the beige thing.
